INDIA’s premier institutes are known as IITs. If you want to get into an IIT, Chemistry is the best subject to take to improve your rank and chances of admission. It’s neither too difficult nor too simple. Different tactics should be used for different segments.
The majority of students begin JEE Main study in class 11, but if a student is committed to passing the exam, it is never too late. Aspirants for the JEE Main exam should begin studying as soon as possible, according to experts. Preparing for the board examinations, for example, is an excellent practice. This will provide the aspirant with an advantage over their competition, and they will be able to grasp things more easily in school.
In JEE exams, chemistry is one subject that would always give you a specific number of marks. Chemistry knowledge is a plus. The first step in your preparation should be to extensively study the NCERT book together with your professors’ notes.
This would offer you a significant advantage over the concepts.
All you need now is some practice.
Inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry are the three types of chemistry.
For Physical Chemistry
Physical chemistry isn’t just about calculations, and in advanced, it’s about comprehending the experiments that are carried out. So, while you’ll need to do 100 numerical questions for jee mains, you’ll only need to do 20 (not extremely difficult, but logical and not formula-based) with an understanding of the experiments given. IIT questions from past years.
You should practise a lot of problems in physical chemistry, as well as the theoretical. Almost every topic is thoroughly addressed, but Energetics, Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, Solutions, and Electrochemistry are particularly effectively discussed. It deals with both theoretical and numerical issues. It also includes several numerical and practice papers that have been solved.
For Organic Chemistry
Organic chemistry is quite different. It’s 100% logical, and you’ll get it right 80% of the time, but there are thousands of exceptions in the book, and I don’t expect you to learn them all. They’re sometimes out of the league, but according to current analysis, they’re meant to be skipped and save negative marks. Just receive the exceptions that were requested in previous years and the NCERT books.
Chemical reactions and processes are dealt with in organic chemistry. Have a firm grasp on them because this is the section that can net you a lot of points in a short period of time.
For Inorganic Chemistry
Reading and upgrading only the sections in the jee curriculum that you believe are significant, revisiting previous year issues and adding from notes in class or purchasing a JEE book, reading it again, and attempting questions
SINGLE HANDLY CHEMISTRY You can expect an easy paper in maths, so it’s physics or chemistry that will push you from qualifying to top rank, and chem is generally scoring, so concentrate.
Most students struggle with inorganic chemistry since it involves a large amount of material to learn and only a small amount to explain. NCERT books are the best choice for inorganic preparation.
Books to Study From
NCERT is said to be the bible for chemistry preparation. One should study all the concepts from NCERT and then practice questions from other books. A good pool of selected questions from various resources is listed in JEE Main Chemistry Important Questions. For JEE Advanced exam, chemistry is considered a comparatively easy section as it involves less calculation and is mostly theoretical and conceptual. It can prove to be a time saving and scoring section if practised well. Make sure to invest your time wisely and not get entangled in lengthier problems. Strategic planning of giving the exam would be beneficial not only for the chemistry section but also for other sections.
If you truly want to get into JEE Advanced, you should study chemistry, which is also a high-scoring subject. Chemistry can help you get better grades. Chemistry marks are approximately equal to the sum of marks in maths and physics for an average JEE student. As a result, you can appreciate the significance of chemistry.
Now the question is, how can you make it better? You must identify your weak areas and focus on them to enhance your chemistry.
So, one by one, begin working on those areas. Go over the theory section first, then solve questions based on those concepts. This will allow you to quickly improve your weak areas.
You do, however, have a second alternative, which, in my opinion, is preferable if you have enough time. That is, begin your chemistry syllabus with both theories and practice. This way, you will be able to review your entire chemistry syllabus (strong parts) while also improving your weak areas. However, the advantage of doing so is that you will discover some areas in which you believe you are strong but are not, and you will be able to improve those areas as well.
You may require assistance in this regard. You can take advantage of online video lectures to help you finish your chemistry coursework. Yes, it is quite beneficial. You can discover your lectures from a variety of online video lecture sources. In this case, I’ll recommend Kaysons because I used their videos for my preparation and found them to be excellent. Once you’ve seen it, you’ll never regret your decision.
The principles of chemistry differ for physical, inorganic, and organic chemistry. In the organic chemistry area, try to grasp the mechanism, intermediate steps, and explanation for the forward reaction. The numerous reactions and a strong understanding of organic chemistry in general. Substitution and nucleophilic addition, as well as the resonating structure and alpha hydrogen Solomon Frylhe, is a good example. In physical chemistry, we must first understand the mole concept and redox reaction, before moving on to chemical equilibrium and chemical kinetics. Understand the first and second laws of thermodynamics, as well as the Gibbs free energy concept. Try to learn things from the ground up by doing a few simple calculations.
Remember to focus on getting the Do questions correct rather than attempting a larger number of questions. and put in a lot of practise time because PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT MEN.
Best of Luck!
